The park at The Bund

The oldest park in Shanghai on the city's promenade, The Bund. It was established by the British in 1886 under the name the Public Park. It was regarded as particularly prestigious and like the other parks in the International Settlement it was closed for non-whites until January 1 1928. It is still open under the name Huangpu Park.
